Dr. Wu graduated with her M.D. from NYU School of Medicine, and is a board certified Pediatric Neurologist specializing in pediatric epilepsy, and is a Professor in the Division of Pediatric Neurology.  Dr. Wu’s clinical and research focus is on childhood epilepsy, and she founded and currently directs the UCLA Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Program, which provides multidisciplinary care to children and adults with a rare genetic disorder of tuberous sclerosis complex as well as active clinical research, translational research, and clinical trials. She is currently leading a double-blinded, randomized, placebo-controlled trial of Cannabidiol for children and adults with medically refractory epilepsy and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC).  Nearly 1 million individuals worldwide suffer from TSC, and a vast majority of these individuals suffer from epilepsy that is unresponsive to anti-epileptic drugs.
